SWVFA Female Leadership Program

Change Our Game is a government organisation working to level the playing field for women and girls in sport and active recreation. Recently the SWVFA has been successful in partnering with Change Our Game to initiate a Female Leadership Program with Football Victoria and respected Victoria University academic, Dr Fiona McLachlan, Senior Lecturer at the Victoria University College of Sport and Exercise Science and Research Fellow for the Institute for Health and Sport.

The Female Leadership Program seeks to enable the advancement of women across all areas of football administration by accelerating career potential; building self-confidence; supporting leadership development outcomes and providing an opportunity to increase networks within the football community.

The program will provide a blended learning environment of online sessions and one in person session that brings females together from around the clubs and is all about empowering Women and Girls within our sport and encouraging female representation at Committee, Administration, and decision-making levels.

Further details will be circulated to all member clubs to engage key females throughout the region.

SWVFA Website Launch

Through the support and generosity of the Victorian State Government and Sport & Recreation Victoria (SRV) under the Sporting Club Grants program the SWVFA has been able to engage Havealook Websites to develop our new digital home.

This project has seen investment into the design and activation of a new professional website and digital presence for the SWVFA to connect it's member clubs, participants and community with a functional online space that acts as an information hub to access crucial resources and promote our game within the region.
